Two people were killed and another seriously injured Friday afternoon in what police are calling a workplace murder-suicide in Bohemia.
Police say William Lynch, 37, of Bellport, went into the Aflac Insurance office at 1650 Sycamore Ave. because he wanted to speak to his ex-girlfriend. They say he requested to see Tiana Stokley, 20, outside of the office, but she refused. She then went into her co-worker?s office, where police say the shooting started, at around 2 p.m.
According to police, Lynch shot Stokely and her co-worker, Gary Destefano, before turning the gun on himself. Stokely and Lynch were reported dead at the scene.
Authorities say Destefano underwent surgery, but there is no word on his exact condition.
Police say Lynch was wanted by police for violating an Order of Protection held by Stokely.
