Police say two young boys were hospitalized Tuesday after both fell in the pool at their Mount Sinai home.
Authorities say Suffolk County Police officers and paramedics were called to the home on Peach Tree Lane around 5:30 p.m. when both boys, ages 2 and 5, were rushed to St. Charles Hospital.
Before paramedics arrived, the 12-year-old and two other brothers got the two out of the pool. The 12-year-old then attempted CPR on them.
Police say both boys were then taken to Stony Brook University Hospital and both are in critical condition.
Neighbors were reluctant to talk about the accident out of privacy for the family, but say they are praying for the boys.
