Two boaters got stranded Saturday afternoon in the Great South Bay, only 90 minutes after buying a new boat.
Police say the men picked up their 24-foot sailboat in Bay Shore, and ran aground off Elder Island in Copiague.
The men were rescued nearly 30 hours later when someone spotted their boat Sunday afternoon.
