Police have identified a 16-year-old killed in a car crash on Saturday in Calverton.
In a letter to families, Riverhead High School’s principal announced Ostin Portillo Perdomo died this past weekend.
As News 12 reported, police say the teen was driving on Sound Avenue near Horton Avenue when he hit a tree.
The high school says grief counseling is available for students.
An online fundraiser has been started for his family.
