A three-alarm fire in Paterson displaced 15 people Saturday, according to officials.

The Paterson Fire Department responded to a two-and-a-half story wood-frame home at 272 Union Ave. around 2 p.m., officials said.

Deputy Chief Jason Macones said firefighters dealt with frozen hydrants and water supply issues in the cold weather.

Firefighters kept the blaze from spreading to other buildings and no injuries were reported, he said.

A cause of the fire was not immediately know as of Saturday night.

The Red Cross said Saturday night they were providing emergency assistance to six families.
