Thousands walked for a cure today as part of the 13th annual Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk at Jones Beach State Park.

More than 7,500 people participated in the walk to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research.

The Lustgarten Foundation is named in memory of Cablevision executive Marc Lustgarten, who died from the disease in 1999. Cablevision underwrites all of the Lustgarten Foundation's administrative costs so that 100 percent of every dollar donated goes directly to pancreatic cancer research.

Cablevision is the parent company of News 12.
