Suffolk County courts are celebrating some new families on this National Adoption Day.
A total of 11 kids are formally being adopted today at family court in Central Islip.
The adoptions are part of the county's effort to raise awareness of the tremendous number of children in foster care and find the kids permanent, loving families.
"I think it's nice that multiple people like that come together into one because it's just, I feel like it's more love into one room," said Gina Pellicone, who was adopted when she was younger.
