One person was killed and another was injured in a motorcycle crash on the Southern State Parkway in Hempstead.
Police say Dwayne Hyde was heading eastbound on the parkway last night near Exit 17 when he collided with a car and then hit a guardrail.
The 34-year-old was killed.
His passenger suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Witnesses are asked to call state police at 631-756-3300.
