Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone will sign new legislation Monday to protect Long Islanders visiting amusement parks.
Bellone will sign a bill that requires amusement parks and water parks in the county to immediately contact the appropriate law enforcement agency when a criminal act occurs on their property.
Last year, a mother complained to Splish Splash that her 14-year-old daughter and other girls were groped by men inside the water park.
Those men were escorted out of the park - without their names being taken, or police contacted.
