A woman was attacked by two dogs in Nassau County Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to a residence on East Avenue in Valley Stream around 4:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a dog bite.
The 75-year-old victim was found with multiple lacerations on various parts of her body after being mauled by the animals, police say.
The woman, whose identity was not released by police, was taken to a local area hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
It is not yet known if the dogs belong to the victim.
The Nassau Emergency Service Unit arrived on scene to secure the animals, while the Town of Hempstead Animal Control removed them from the home, which is located near Kent Road.
