The Westchester Medical Center Health Network has confirmed the discontinuation of its home health care services at Bon Secours community Hospital in Port Jervis.

News 12 first reported on similar cuts at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern and Westchester Medical Center’s home health services in their Mid-Hudson Valley division in Poughkeepsie on Friday.

A Bon Secours home care worker who claims they were laid off last week along with 200 other employees notified News 12 of the cuts to the operations in Port Jervis.

A hospital spokesperson, however, says the departments are being discontinued as of July in a decision approved by the state Department of Health and that 129 home health workers have been let go. A spokesperson says these employees are not "employed by Bon Secours Community Hospital" but are part of Bon Secours Medical Group.

Westchester Medical Health Network says impacted employees are being offered other opportunities within the network.
