The longtime ice cream shop in Williston Park and Long Island staple has entered the national spotlight - not for their sweet treats - but for horse racing.
The Sarf family, which bought Hildebrandt's in 2022, has sponsored the winning jockeys for both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes this year, with both wearing Hildebrandt's logo for a national audience.
Both of those jockeys are expected to compete in the Belmont Stakes, the final leg of the Triple Crown, and Hildebrandt's owners tell News 12 they intend to sponsor each jockey in that race.
