William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach will be installing three metal detectors at entrances starting Monday, Dec.16.

2h agoWilliam Floyd High School in Mastic Beach will be installing three metal detectors at entrances starting Monday, Dec.16.
It’s starting as a pilot program, and the plan is to eventually install them at all entrances.
The move was made after a student brought a loaded gun to school in October.
The district says eventually, it will add the detectors to middle and elementary schools.
