Students and staff at William Floyd Elementary school took part in a St. Baldricks fundraiser to help an employee’s daughter who is battling cancer.
Both the girl and her family were present at the fundraising event Thursday.
Cara Cliffe, CTE barbering head instructor of William Floyd High School, says the participants are contributing to an important cause.
“They’re seeing how much of an impact they’re making just by raising awareness,” she said. “It’s great, I’m so proud of them."
The school is accepting donations for
St. Baldrick's until the end of the month.
