President Donald Trump is growing increasingly isolated after the shocking resignation of one of his closest advisors, White House Communications Director Hope Hicks.
Hicks is the fourth communications direction to leave since Trump took office 13 months ago.
The official word from the White House is that Hicks has been thinking about leaving for weeks.
However, the announcement of her departure came one day after Hicks testified for nearly nine hours before a House committee as part of its Russia investigation.
Hicks admitted she sometimes told “white lies” for President Trump.
In addition, there is scrutiny growing over presidential son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.
The New York Times is reporting that two companies loaned more than $500 million to Kushner’s family real estate business after meeting with Kushner at the White House.
The New York Times reports that Kushner still owns the vast majority of his interest in the family company. However, his attorney insists he has “taken no part of any business, loans or projects with or for Kushner companies since joining the White House.”
There are reports Kushner is worried that everyone is “out to get him” after his top secret security clearance has been stripped by Chief of Staff John Kelly.
