Tax season is here, and filing taxes can be taxing! There are ways to make the process easier and at no cost.

The IRS lets you file taxes for free and even has software that does the job if you meet certain income requirements.

News 12 spoke with public accountant Erika Calderon about some tips on how to make the process of filing taxes as painless as possible.

“Just make sure you have all your documents ready. Collect your W-2 forms, 1099’s, everything you need to get it in as soon as you can so we can get everything filed. I always suggest going to a professional because we are always up to date with tax laws and the changes, and there were a lot of changes that happened this year,” said Calderon.
