The potentially deadly disease popped up in mosquito traps in Kings Point and Plandome Manor earlier this month.

The Nassau Health Department and Public Works say they will continue to destroy mosquito larvae at breeding sites.

So far, no humans cases of West Nile virus have been reported anywhere on the island this year.
