A West Hempstead woman pleaded guilty to manslaughter and assault in connection to a fatal crash that killed two teenagers in October 2021.
Nyla Frazier, 20, admitted to driving in excess of 100 mph on Westminster Road in the crash that killed her friends.
Curtis Caesar, who was 19, and his girlfriend Amanda Arguinzoni, who was 17, were the passengers in Frazier's car.
Caesar's mother, Nadia Wynter-Baylis, was crying outside the courtroom remembering her son.
Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly says Frazier lost control of her BMW X3 and crashed into a parked dump truck. The car then flipped and Caesar and Arguinzoni were ejected from it.
As part of a plea deal, Frazier is now facing three to nine years behind bars.
The victims' families say they feel the potential prison sentence is not enough for causing the death of two people.
Frazier will be sentenced on May 22.
