Students in the West Hempstead and Mineola school districts were taught CPR Wednesday as part of a program by the American Heart Association

Those who participated received a CPR &amp; First Aid Anywhere Training Kit, which contains inflatable mannequins, AED training simulators, training DVDs and lesson plans.

Local tax and accounting services firm - DSJ Advisory Group - provided the funds to make the kits possible.

The physical education teachers taught the students how to perform CPR with the kits they received.

So it is turning colder over the next 24 hours, clouds are on the increase. We've had some breaks of sunshine this afternoon, but more clouds building through. There's a front through upstate New York, a little bit of rain and snow showers here as this approaches. Long Island clouds will move in right now. It comes through dry. There may be a quick Sprinkle tonight for the first part. Then after midnight, sky is clear and that colder weather comes in for tomorrow. So here's what we have through this evening. The evening rush hour is dry with the clouds. Here's our forecast for warm 47 degrees around five o'clock, 45 at 9 p.m. And then 39 by the time you go to two o'clock in the morning. So there's the colder weather into tomorrow morning, those west northwest winds to start off the day on Tuesday. So the evening rush hour once again will be dry, mostly cloudy skies here at five o'clock temperatures mid and upper forties towards 8 to 9 o'clock, a slight chance of a Sprinkle over the east end. Otherwise, the clouds are giving way to clearing skies and to start off the morning hours of your Tuesday, you'll start off with sunshine and temperatures in the thirties. Now, just like today. Sunshine in the morning, clouds coming in Tuesday afternoon, highs are colder, topping out to a high 45 degrees Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday and Thursday, highs only in the lower forties. Our next threat of rain now coming in towards Sunday, Sunday morning through the midday into the afternoon. Some wet weather with some gusty winds recapping. Today, highs are in the fifties, mostly cloudy skies. Breezy. It's mild. Then tonight turning colder lows are in the thirties. There's that extended forecast. We are watching the colder weather.
