Liam Delemo was killed in a stabbing at a house party, according to Suffolk police.
The incident happened after a fight broke out at the home on Carlton Road.
The West Babylon High School principal tells News 12 the school will be opening late today.
The Student Services Department will be available to support students and staff as needed.
Police say the homeowner, Bonnie Miranda, let her grandchild throw the party.
Miranda is now facing social host and endangering the welfare of a child charges.
No arrest had been made for the stabbing at this time.
