A wedding ring missing since the 60s has found its way back to its owner.
Anthony Zenkus was only 4 years old when he misplaced his father?s wedding ring 38 years ago in a Northport home.
John Fanuka moved into the house six years ago, long after the Zenkus family had moved elsewhere. He found the ring while cleaning shortly after moving in. However, attempts to contact previous residents turned up no results. His only clue was the engraving on the gold ring: ?From Kitty To Johnny ? 3/31/51.?
When a letter addressed to Kitty Zenkus found its way into Fanuka?s hands, he contacted News 12 Long Island and a meeting was arranged.
Kitty Zenkus, now a 75-year-old widow, has the wedding band for the first time in nearly four decades. She says the reunion with her departed husband?s ring is ?very emotional.?
