A wind advisory is in effect throughout Long Island until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
The strongest winds will be around 45 mph with periods of rain that could be heavy at some points.
Wednesday could see a little rain early before afternoon sun and near record warmth of 62 degrees.
There will be more weather to watch Thursday evening with the chance for snow and a wintry mix.
The wintry mix early Friday will change to rain. It will be breezy with rain showers ahead of the weekend.
