WEATHER TO WATCH: Rain expected Monday afternoon or evening on Long Island

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Krystal Ellis says a stray shower may develop overnight, but the better chance for wet weather will be Monday afternoon and Monday night. A half-inch to up to an inch-and-a-half of rain is expected.

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Krystal Ellis says a stray shower may develop overnight, but the better chance for wet weather will be Monday afternoon and Monday night. A half-inch to up to an inch-and-a-half of rain is expected.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy, humid and a bit breezy. An isolated shower is possible throughout the day. South winds 10-15 mph. Highs near 72. 
MONDAY NIGHT: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Southeast winds 5-15 mph. Lows near 62.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy to start with a few showers lingering in the early morning and eventually giving way to mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. Highs near 78. Lows near 61.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny to start with a chance for afternoon showers. Highs near 75. Lows near 59.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with a chance for showers late at night. Highs near 79. Lows near 60.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny with more afternoon clouds around and a chance for showers to develop at night. Highs near 76. Lows near 60.
