Officials in Nassau County are continuing the call to end bail reform in the state.
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman joined members of the Village Officials Association to say bail reform has had a negative impact on the community.
Blakeman says criminals continue to be released without bail only to re-offend, and he's demanding change.
"We need the governor and the state Legislature to go in session tomorrow. We need them to say and to act that they will stop this insanity,” says Blakeman.
Blakeman is calling on state officials to repeal the cashless bail laws, the HALT Act and Raise the Age.
