News 12 spoke with the family of Patricia Espinosa, the Nassau police officer killed by a suspected drunken driver in Suffolk County while she was off duty on Saturday.

She leaves behind a husband and young daughter.

"It breaks my heart to know that I have a child that now has to be going without a mom. We had so many plans and now it's just taken away from us," said Francisco Malaga, her husband and fellow Nassau police officer.
