A water main break flooded streets and homes in West Babylon Monday night.
The break happened on Neptune Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
News 12 has learned police and the Suffolk County Water Authority were called in after an 8-inch main ruptured, causing water to pour into some residents' homes.
Crews worked overnight, and say the main has been repaired; and they are working to repair the road.
Homeowners say the water reached as high as 2 feet last night.
A total of eight to 10 homeowners did lose water for a short period of time, but it has since been restored.
