A Wantagh man was hit by a car and killed in Copiague.
Police say the 61-year-old man stepped into the road on Oak Street near Great Neck Road around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday and was hit by a minivan.
The man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.
The driver who hit him was not injured.
