A Long Island grandmother is being dubbed "a walking miracle" for defying the odds during the pandemic.
Alisa White, 61, of Wyandanch, beat COVID-19 and pancreatitis with eight surgeries.
White on Tuesday thanked the doctors at Huntington Hospital who saved her life.
"I thank God for you. You saved my life. I would not be alive if it wasn't for you, it's a miracle that I'm alive. Thank you so much, thank God," White said.
Huntington Hospital officials say a medically advanced procedure that did not require surgery is the reason White is alive today.
