Wake held for Dix Hills native killed in plane crash in Australia

William Jennings was killed while surveying and mapping wildfires in November.

A wake was held Friday for a 22-year-old Dix Hills native who was killed in a plane crash in Australia.
William Jennings was killed while surveying and mapping wildfires in November.
His parents say they will honor their son's memory because he accomplished so much in his short life.
Jennings graduated from Northeastern University in May. His parents say he loved the outdoors, photography and playing saxophone.
A funeral for Jennings will be held Saturday at Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Church.
