Suffolk County's Board of Elections cut the ribbon Friday on its new, $2.8 million Early Voting and Training Center, which will securely house election equipment during the nine-day Early Voting period.

Suffolk's BOE Republican Commissioner Betty Manzella and Democratic Commissioner John Alberts say they have taken every step to ensure a secure voting and vote counting process ahead of the 2024 election, which is expected to have a high turnout.

Suffolk will have 28 early voting locations. Nassau County has 27.

Suffolk BOE commissioners encourage voters to take advantage of the extra opportunities to cast their ballots.
