UPDATE: AP has declared Democrat Susan Cacace the winner in Westchester's district attorney race.

Previous story below:

Democrat Susan Cacace and Republican John Sarcone are in the race to be Westchester County's top prosecutor.

Cacace began her legal career as an assistant district attorney for Westchester County from 1989-2003.

She said she wants to have more long-term investigations into fentanyl and gun trafficking.

Sarcone served as the regional administrator for the United States general services administration for New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

If elected, Sarcone says he wants to work toward eliminating cashless bail and restoring law and order while "backing the blue."

Mimi Rocah has decided not to run for reelection after serving for one term.
