A rally for the reopening of nursing homes was held in East Setauket Saturday.
The group that organized the protest, Voices for Seniors, called for care facilities to allow family members of residents back in.
Deer Park native Vivian Rivera Zayas says her mother, who was in a nursing home, died back in April.
Rivera Zayas says she wants to make sure no senior is forgotten during the pandemic.
