Vineyard 48 shut down after dozens of drunken incidents

One of the most popular vineyards on the North Fork has been shut down.
The New York State Liquor Authority has indefinitely suspended the alcohol license for Vineyard 48 on County Route 48 in Cutchogue. They say the decision was based on reports from police.
Police say they have responded to dozens of incidents at the vineyard involving alcohol overdoses, fights, public sex and people going to the bathroom on adjacent properties.
The vineyard is entitled to a hearing to respond to the charges.
