The baby mockingbird was trapped in a sewer on Route 347.

A baby bird is safe thanks to a late-night rescue mission in Port Jefferson.
The baby mockingbird was trapped in a sewer on Route 347.
Suffolk's emergency services unit pried the sewer grate off, with Strong Island Animal Rescue going in with a net to rescue the bird. The bird was 6 feet down in the sewer.
