A man is dead and another is in custody after an early morning shooting in Yonkers.

Police said 28-year-old Xavier Palmer shot 41-year-old James Hardy in the chest following an argument on Cliff Street around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Hardy died at the hospital.

Palmer is charged with second-degree murder.
