“Guilty.” Michelle Troconis heard that word six times on Friday as the jury convicted her on all charges in the disappearance and presumed death of Jennifer Dulos.

Troconis was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence, tampering with physical evidence and hindering prosecution.

Troconis dropped her head on attorney Jon Schoenhorn's shoulder and cried as the verdict was read. Troconis continued to cry and put her head on the table as the court clerk polled each juror individually to confirm the verdict was unanimous.

Troconis turned and looked at her family as marshals led her out in handcuffs. Her loved ones quietly cried in the courtroom but unleashed their emotions outside the courthouse.

The jury's decision came about seven weeks after the trial began. The prosecution spent 25 days building a case that Troconis conspired with her then-boyfriend, Fotis Dulos, to kill his wife, Jennifer Dulos, as the estranged couple was in a contentious custody battle.

State police believe Fotis Dulos murdered Jennifer Dulos on May 24, 2019 in her New Canaan garage and disposed of her body, which has never been found.

The prosecution argued that Troconis helped Fotis Dulos cover up the crime by disposing of evidence and lying to police, including providing a false alibi. Troconis' defense argued she was an innocent girlfriend who knew nothing about what Fotis Dulos did.

Troconis has been out on a $2.1 million bond since January 2020. Schoenhorn asked for Troconis to remain free until sentencing, arguing she's never missed a court appearance and has surrendered her passports. Judge Kevin Randolph wasn't swayed and said Troconis will be on house arrest with GPS monitoring if she can post bond.

Troconis' bond is set for $6 million cash or surety.

Jennifer Dulos' loved ones didn't speak as they left the courthouse. Family spokesperson Carrie Luft released a statement that said in part, "Today's verdict is a crucial attribution of accountability, not a victory. There can be no victory when five children are growing up without their mother."
