An elderly Valley Stream woman had a frightening night Friday when she awoke to find a thief in her home.
Ron Traina says he and some friends got home on Princeton Street around 9 p.m. when they heard a neighbor screaming for help. They went to her house and saw an open window and jewelry strewn on the floor. The victim said the incident just happened. Traina looked down the block and saw two men crouching behind a postal truck. The men chased the suspects who managed to flee.
The victim said she only saw one man, however, Traina saw two men fleeing. Nassau police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
