State Department of Health urges residents to wear mask amid surge of COVID cases

As COVID-19 cases rise across New York, the state Department of Health is urging residents to put their masks back on.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its classifications of New York counties.
A total of 45 have been designated as high-risk. This includes every county in our region - except for Rockland County.
Ulster County sent out a statement saying, residents should "consider wearing a mask when indoors and in a public setting and other common or shared spaces where individuals may interact."
