Uber Eats driver pleads for return of beloved dog stolen during delivery
A heartbroken and emotional Bay Shore woman is desperately
pleading for her dog, Brownie, to be returned after he was taken along with her
car while she was doing an overnight delivery for Uber Eats.
Danelle Carter says she often takes Brownie on deliveries to
keep her company. She was picking up an order around 1:30 a.m. Saturday at
Naz's Halal in North Babylon when police say her 2015 silver Chrysler was
stolen.
“He was wearing a little green hoodie with a white polar
bear on the back and a yellow hat,” she told News 12. “He has a blue collar
with silver bones on it and a bone collar that has his name and my name and
phone number.”
Her cellphone was also in the vehicle.
Carter says Brownie, 13, has a stomach problem and needs
medication to digest his food.
“I don’t care about the car. I don’t care about my phone. I
don’t care about anything. Just please, please, please – if anybody sees my
dog, please return him,” said Carter.
Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to
call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
