Two 20-year-old Wyandanch men have been indicted for allegedly kidnapping and robbing a taxi driver who was driving them from Queens to Long Island.

James Davender and Antoine Sims could spend up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

Investigators found that on April 22, the pair ordered a taxi to take them from Far Rockaway to Wyandanch. During the ride, Davender allegedly started yelling and cursing at the driver while trying to grab the steering wheel, causing the car to swerve. They both are also accused of moving the gear shift into park to try and repeatedly stop the car.

Prosecutors say Davender then threatened the driver with a folding knife and demanded his wallet. When the driver refused, Sims allegedly reached into his pocket and took about $60.
