State investigators are searching for answers in the mysterious deaths of two patients at a Southampton Hospital dialysis center.
Both patients were in their 60s and were undergoing treatment Thursday morning when a hospital spokesperson says they went into cardiac arrest within 10 minutes of each other. County officials say there was nothing wrong with the treatment itself. They say they are not sure if it was the equipment or just a coincidence.
Hospital officials have not released the names of the patients. The center reopened Saturday while the state health department continues its investigation.
