Tumbleweed Tuesday No More: New campaign seeks year-round tourism on East End

Discover Long Island has rebranded Tumbleweed Tuesday, the day after Labor Day when typically tourism begins to slow down on the East End, in an effort to create year-round tourism interest in the area.

Discover Long Island has rebranded Tumbleweed Tuesday, the day after Labor Day when typically tourism begins to slow down on the East End, in an effort to create year-round tourism interest in the area.
A new marketing campaign will seek to showcase towns and highlights across both the North Fork and South Shore, hoping to bring people out during winter months.
Some residents News 12 spoke with were concerned by the thought of tourists during off-season months, especially about additional traffic on the roads.
