Former sports and entertainment executive Tim Leiweke has been pardoned by President Donald Trump.

The Oak View co-founder led the construction of UBS arena and helped bring the Islanders back to Long Island.

Leiweke was indicted earlier this year on conspiracy charges.

He was accused of trying to rig the bidding process for an arena in Texas.

The unexpected "full and unconditional pardon" was posted in a document to the Justice Department's website.

Leiweke would have faced up to ten years in prison and a $1 million fine if convicted.
