A trial date has been set for the man charged in the shooting death of NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller.

A Queens judge says jury selection in the trial of Guy Rivera will begin on March 4.

As News 12 has reported, Detective Diller and his partner were conducting a traffic stop in Queens on a car parked illegally at a bus stop.

As they went toward the car, police say Rivera shot at them, hitting Diller below his bulletproof vest.

Rivera is facing multiple charges in the case, including first-degree murder.

A second man, Lindy Jones, is charged with weapons possession.
