A tractor-trailer caught fire outside of a Home Depot in Suffolk County on Tuesday.
The flames didn't reach the store, but the building was evacuated and then closed for cleanup and removal of the trailers, police say.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. in the rear of the business on Old Country Road in Riverhead.
The Riverhead Fire Department responded to the alarm and found the trailer fully engulfed in flames, which eventually spread to another trailer that was parked in the area.
Six mutual aid departments were also called to the scene to assist in extinguishing the blaze.
The cause is under investigation by the Riverhead Town Fire Marshal but is believed to be non-criminal.
