Town officials attempt to save Central American Day Festival in Brentwood

The town denied the permit for the group for the first time in 20 years.

There are ongoing efforts to save Brentwood's Central American Day Festival.
Islip Town Councilman Jorge Guadron tells News 12 that he and the necessary groups are working to get a permit for the September event. The town denied the permit for the group for the first time in 20 years.
No reason was given.
Town officials say they have scheduled a meeting to attempt and resolve the issue on Monday.
