The Town of Hempstead held its annual Independence Day celebration in Point Lookout Saturday night as a socially distant salute to Long Island heroes.
The drive-in event was complete with fireworks and live music.
The event kicked off with a special ceremony to honor Hempstead Town's most heroic residents and also recognized COVID-19 front-line workers.
