Van Nest and Throgs Neck recently went head to head in the District 22 Little League finals. Throgs Neck took an early lead in the first inning. However, that was short lived when Van Nest came back in the top of the second inning to score four runs. Although Van Nest brought in three more runs, Throgs Neck scored once more to win the game 5 to 4. Throgs Neck now heads to the district playoffs.
