‘Thin metal strand’ triggers voluntary recall of Skittles, Starburst and Life Savers gummies

Specific varieties of Skittles, Starburst and Life Savers gummies were voluntarily recalled on Friday by Mars Wrigley due to “the potential presence of a very thin metal strand embedded in the gummies or loose in the bag.”

‘Thin metal strand’ triggers voluntary recall of Skittles, Starburst and Life Savers gummies
Specific varieties of Skittles, Starburst and Life Savers gummies were voluntarily recalled on Friday by Mars Wrigley due to “the potential presence of a very thin metal strand embedded in the gummies or loose in the bag.”
The company says they are not aware of any illnesses and were alerted about the matter by consumers.
According to the Mars Wrigley: “If consumers believe they have purchased a recalled item, they should dispose of the product and not consume it.”
The products were distributed in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
