Whether you prefer to stroll by salt water or fresh, there are many options across our island. Of the 35 state parks on Long Island, 22 have water views.
Including Jones Beach State Park. On the 2-mile boardwalk, enjoy the views of our beach and ocean. The 4.5-mile pedestrian path extends the full length of Jones Beach State Park, from Field 6 to the West End.
And if you love the lake life, in Suffolk County, there are miles of trails to hike and bike at Belmont Lake State Park. Bring your babies, and fur babies too - as long as they're on a leash and enjoy seeing the wildlife and their babies.

Here are five tips when you visit state parks:
The earlier you visit the better - the crowd tends to get larger as the day progresses, and if they reach their limited capacity the park will close temporarily.
Keep your visit to under an hour.
Wear your mask.
Stay 6 feet apart.
And ENJOY the fresh air and sunshine!
